Stash Camera is a camera app that saves photos to a private local library on your iPhone, separate from your Camera Roll. Photos captured or imported via the Share Extension are stored entirely on your device.
Photos: All photos are stored locally on your device in Stash Camera's private storage. We never access, upload, or transmit your photos.
Location data (optional): If you enable location tagging, GPS coordinates are stored locally with your photos. This data never leaves your device.
Analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage events (such as feature usage, session counts, and onboarding completion). This helps us improve the app. No photo content, filenames, or personally identifiable information is included in analytics data.
Crash reports: We use Sentry to collect crash reports and performance data. These contain technical diagnostic information (device model, OS version, stack traces) but no personal data or photo content.
Camera: Required to capture photos. This is the core function of the app.
Location (optional): Used to tag photos with GPS coordinates when you enable this feature. Prompted in context, not during setup.
PostHog (analytics): Receives anonymous event data. PostHog privacy policy.
Sentry (crash reporting): Receives technical crash data. Sentry privacy policy.
We do not use advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or data brokers.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous analytics and crash reports as described above.
Since all photos and personal data are stored locally on your device:
Stash Camera does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally and we collect no personal information, children's photos remain private on their device.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
